Really nice but...
First time visit, staff were exceptional, room was comfortable but a little tired (and no glasses in the room or bathroom!). Food was good and reasonably priced. Lounge area was limited and unfortunately there was no lift to our upstairs floor in the part of the hotel we were in. Our visit unfortunatley coincided with a dog show so will avoid in future. Pool etc. was good and we benefited from an early check in. We are back again in June.
Lovely place
The location was stunning, spa experience sooo relaxing, my evening meal was excellent and the rooms were very clean, quite spacious too. I will definitely be back to stay here for another solo break away.
HOME FROM AWAY FROM HOME
I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the consistently outstanding service at Telford Hotel and Golf Resort. It has truly become my home away from home, and I always choose to stay here, not only because of the excellent facilities, but because of the people who make every visit a pleasure. I would especially like to thank Charlotte in the restaurant. She is always amazing. She engages with you properly, takes genuine interest, and never fails to greet you with a smile. If anyone wants to learn what great customer service looks like, she is a perfect example. The team at the front desk are equally brilliant. Overall, the service here has always been exceptional. The staff, the atmosphere, and the genuine care they show are the reasons I keep coming back. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.
Couldn't be better
Perfect. Easy check in, rooms spotless, staff friendly and efficient, food good and dogs catered for extremely well. My only concern was the lack of reception staff after 10pm.
Most helpful staff
Very enjoyable stay. Staff were wonderful and couldn’t do enough for us. When passing in the halls, everyone greeted us very pleasantly. Room was comfortable and clean. Food was good if a little pricey. Would definitely recommend.
Comfortable stay at the Telford Spa and golf hotel
on a 2 day visit to the area. Location good for Ironbridge with plenty of parking. Rooms comfortable with good shower and comfortable beds. Good choice of hot and cold food at breakfast. We would return.
Great day
I had a lovely spa day. My treatment with Caitlin was so good. She was so friendly and such a pleasant lady. Totally relaxed and left me feeling great.
Good Golf Break in Telford
I enjoyed a one night golf break with a group of friends. The booking and reservations were very straightforward, with good correspondence from the hotel. Both the hotel and golf staff were very helpful, providing a good service. I felt that the quality of the evening dinner was fairly basic and could be improved but it was sufficient. The golf course was well maintained, my only complaint that the greens had been heavily aerated which was annoying but necessary I imagine.
Above and beyond
I had a lovely stay at the hotel. Haley on the reception is the most friendly and helpful person. She went above and beyond to help me.
Nice course. Leave it a few weeks for th greens to improve
Good day here today. Started as a solo. Had a good front 9. Let myself down coming home.
Great staff too!
I stayed with my dogs for a large canine event – it's a great location with good event rooms and very decent bedrooms but mostly have to say the staff were fantastic: from the groundsman to the maintenance man who help me with the luggage trolley: the restaurant & bar staff, the lovely cleaning ladies to reception – all were friendly, patient and helpful – thank you.
Tremendous Telford Tenancy
A well signpost hotel with good parking facilities including electric vehicle chargers and Blue Badge bays. A little cramped when we arrived on a Friday with for parking on the grass areas. There is an overflow car park but well signposted. Wished I'd park there as my car was damaged by a neighbouring driver. (Didn't even have the courtesy to leave name or tell reception!) Prior to our arrival I had spoken with Lizzie who was really very helpful and dealt with my enquiry very efficiently. Shane gave us a very warm welcome and gave us great directions to our room and told us where the bar a restaurant was. Our room was very clean and very comfortable with everything we expected apart from a couple of lamps not working and no USB sockets for charging phones watch iPads etc by our bed, there we two usb sockets on the table, but no sockets by our bed. Very pleased to have a well stocked fridge, however the fridge was quite noisy and the wiring was not in good order to the fused connection plate. The food from the restaurant and bar was very good and service was mostly excellent. Monique was exceptional, she looked after us very well and I never saw the young lady stand still, always looking out as to where she was needed or could help. Quite pricy for some dishes but understandable as there was a good number of staff. Also quite noisy, had a group of rowdy golfers in who really should have known better have behave in a communal area with couples and young families, it wasn't quite the romantic evening that I was hoping for with my wife. Sadly their conduct and language left a lot to be desired! A wonderful location for enjoying the Severn Vally and Ironbridge Gorge. Shane was a wealth of knowledge letting us know about the walks from the hotel and giving good directions. The swimming pool and sauna was wonderful and very enjoyable and open at sensible times with time slots for children. A great comfy hotel in a great location, would certainly recommend and hopefully return one day.
Pretty good overall save a few pointers
I have been to the hotel before a couple of years ago and have returned for a golf break with friends at the end of April 2026.The hotel was clean tidy and welcoming. Every member of the team that I spoke with was polite , helpful and listened to my requests. We played golf over two days and I Was a little disappointed by the course conditions in particular the greens which were in the process of being aerated and sanded which at times made putting very difficult My evening meal in the Restaurant was fine in terms of quality and choice but the service was not at a standard you would hope to deliver. It took 1hour and 40 minutes to be served our main course with no one checking in with us at all during that time, in fact we went to the bar ourselves to get the drinks. The restaurant was by no means full and it felt that we had been over looked. Breakfast the following day was fine as was the check out process. The only other comment would be that the swimming pool area was dark and dingy and could do with an increase in lighting levels. These issues moved my overall marking down from excellent to good
Great time at the Telford Golf Hotel & Spa
We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Telford Golf Hotel & Spa. The staff were all very professional, and happy to help with questions. Our room was lovely overlooking the golf course. We would happily stay again
A Great Stay
Lovely hotel with amazing views over the valley and golf course. Friendly and helpful staff..............what more could you ask for?
Relaxing 2 night spa break with a friend
Location is easy to get to with great views. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. The rooms are clean and well equipped although I do feel there is a lack of hooks to hang robes & bathing costumes after using the spa facilities. All areas are clean & comfortable. We didn't experience any noise even though there was a wedding reception using the venue. Service was great & very attentive. We enjoyed using the amenities of the spa & highly recommended the treatments. All in all I would say that it was good value for money & would recommended.
Great stay
Excellent stay here, very relaxing. Enjoyed the spa, food excellent especially the mussels from the Bar Menu, compliments to the chef Frankie
What a little gem of a place
On my 2nd week and still here and its great. The staff are very welcoming and nothing is a bother anyway whatsoever. the rooms are just what required to get a good nights sleep and the bar is a great place to have a few pints and a great meal. I did not use all of the hotels provided amenities. Having said that from what i seen going around the Hotel it looks great and could be on the cards to explore on a future visit. From the reception to my room wasn't a far walk, easy access all the way. Rooms have plenty of beverages to make in the morning if you require the coffee burst or a chamomile tea to relax you before sleep. I would recommend the breakfast in the morning as the vast amount on display sets you up for the day. Over all a great place to stay. To all the staff thanks for the enjoyable stay Dave
Great spot!
Always a pleasure staying here. Staff are super friendly and always happy to help. Rooms are clean and have everything you need. The gym, spa and pool are a great addition and if you fancy it, golf at visitor rates come in handy! Would 100% recommend
Very nice and comfortable
Overall experience was very good. The hotel is very comfortable and welcoming. The restaurant is excellent for both food and service. The hotel.is well.placed for the Black Country Museum which, is excellent.
